Fourth and fifth grade viewed a "Think before you post" video. Then students began Glogging their reflections.

Third grade:

First grade:

Fifth graders worked on their Lunar Landers




Fourth graders worked on their Final Musc exams.

First grade enjoyed Peter and The Wolf. We learned about instruments.

Third grade found notes on the Treble Clef and listened to pitches.

Fifth grade began engineering their Lunar Landers.


Fourth grade converted inches to feet, and documented their data using a Google Sheet Chart. They opened Glogster accounts to illustrate their findings.

Third grade:

  • submitting their work
First grade studied the World Wide Web. We learned that each web page has its own address. The World Wide Web affects the WHOLE WORLD, that's why each page has its own address. We each went to this panoramic sight to see World pictures: http://www.360cities.net/map#lat=45&lng=19&zoom=2
We earned Dojo points, so we were able to visit these sights for free time:

Fifth grade began a Lunar Lander project. They heard John F. Kennedy's speech about why the U.S. chose to go the moon. They heard the audio clip with the actual moon landing. They developed teams and began engineering what they thought would be an acceptable Lunar Lander that could be dropped from two feet without falling apart.

Fourth grade worked on Google Sheets. We measured ourselves in inches, and then converted those measurements to feet. We will chart that data tomorrow.

Third grade:

  • Played a game "Around the World" where the class was divided into two teams, and students had to identify the note and play it on a Xylophone or Glockenspiel

First grade:

  • Reviewed rhythms
  • Played 5 measures of rhythms
    • Read
    • Clapped
    • Played on rhythm instruments
Second grade:

  • Reviewed Irish Fest songs
  • Reviewed treble clef
  • Played notes on Xylophone and glockenspiel

Kindergarten:

  • Logged onto Moby Max: MobyMax is an outstanding online resources that offers a free math, language, and reading curriculum for K-8 teachers. All lessons are aligned with the Common Core Standards and teachers can implement them easily.
  • earning Dojo points. Students earning enough Dojo points were able to choose online educational web sites for exploration

Fourth and Fifth grade notated treble clef white and black notes using two different web pages:

After submitting their assignments, they practiced their notation skills as they continued work on the Music Theory Workbook. They learned that notes on  or above the third line have stems down on the left side, and notes below the third line have stems on the right side going up.

They earned Dojo points which allowed them to have Free Time for the remaining time of class.

Fourth and fifth grade worked to sharpen their keyboarding skills on Typing Web. Scores were collected on a Google Doc.
Students earned Dojo points for good work, good attitudes, and helping one another. These points were used to earn time on pre-approved web pages. Some students chose to continue work on content work that we're doing Monday through Thursdays, focusing on music.

Kindergarten, First, Second, and third grades worked to sharpen their keyboarding skills too. They too earned Dojo points. Seen here, are students enjoying some Free Time they earned.

Third grade:

  • Enjoyed a few minutes of free time
First grade:
  • had great difficulty logging on
  • had difficulty navigating to Moby Max
  • had to shut down early due to too much talking

Second and Third grade:

  • Began working on their Moby Max accounts
